Activities

Gardens grown in the sunlight. People stroll in the courtyards. Some sit and visit in a gazebo or in the coolness of our New Orleans parlor. And the faces of our residents and friends are lit up by another active day.

Cookouts, crafts or just being entertained by an area businessman showing slides taken on his recent trip abroad - the individual sets his or her own pace. Our activities director is specially trained to understand the limits sometimes brought on by aging. However, within those limits, all residents are encouraged to take an active part in their own lives through programs designed with their special needs in mind. In addition to a diverse calendar of activities, traditional religious services are held for all faiths.

Family members receive guidance and share experiences with others in Family Support Group meetings. The social worker, along with other trained staff professionals, is available to answer questions and allay fears and anxieties.
