Specialized Services Complex Care Unit A skilled level of care for patients who require long-term dependence on sophisticated health technology in settings other than the acute care hospital. We provide highly technical skilled nursing care to meet the intense level of respiratory needs for ventilator dependent residents. These specialized needs are performed by a staff of Registered Nurses, Certified Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, etc., under the supervision of a qualified Physician. Ferncrest Manor's Complex Care Unit provides a skilled level of care for patients who require long-term dependence on sophisticated health technology in settings other than the acute care hospital. We provide highly technical skilled nursing care ito meet the intense needs of residents with diagnosis of, but not limited to, the following: VENTILATOR DEPENDENT MEDICAID REHABILITATION FOR CLOSED HEAD INJURIES TRACHEOSTOMY   We provide Complex Care for adults and geriatric residents requiring a high skill level of nursing for medical and rehabilitation interventions to improve and/or maintain medical functional stability. An interdisiplinary team approach is utilized under the direction of a physician. The team also includes a registered nurse with special training and experience in cognitive care, etc. Our specialty care unit is staffed with RN'S, LPN'S, CRT'S, CRTT'S, and CNA'S. Respiratory Therapists are on staff twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. A social worker is also an important of our Complex Care Team.
